Raspberry
I love Raspberry Candy, I absolutely do. It has always been my favorite flavor, even as a young child. My mother discovered my fondness for Raspberry candy one day when I was crying inconsolably and she stuffed a Raspberry Tootsie Pop in my mouth to shut me up. Needless to say, it did the trick.Ever since then, I have loved Raspberry candy. In elementary school I would trade other flavors for it. I would trade all my Cherry, Orange and Chocolate Tootsie Pops for Raspberry Tootsie Pops. I would do the same with Jolly Ranchers, trading the Grape, Apple and Cherry ones for just the Blue Raspberry Jolly Ranchers. I was a master at bartering and trading.
I didn’t know this at the time, but this experience would lead me to Wall Street. My love of trading for Raspberry Candy would develop into a skill for trading stocks, bonds and foreign currencies. Who could have guessed that trading my classmates for their Blue Raspberry Gummy Bears or Raspberry Candy Sticks would lead me to one day to having my own hedge fund and trading desk right in the heart of Wall Street.
Even though I trade millions of dollars of equities each day, nothing gets my trading juices flowing more than Raspberry Candy. Thirty years later, I still make trades for it. At home, I trade my daughters for their Laffy Taffy, exchanging my Cherry and Banana for their Blue Raspberry. In the office, the traders on my desk are always trying to practice their arbitrage skills in trading me for Blue Raspberry Wild Berry Skittles and Blue Raspberry Original Gourmet Pops. They try their best, but I usually come out on top. I keep telling them I’ve been trading for Raspberry Candy since I was in 2nd grade, but they never seem to learn their lesson.
