Lemon

Lemon candy is so unappreciated, often overlooked and ignored for more ‘flashy’ candy flavors. It’s so not fair. Lemon never did anything bad to anybody. You ever hear that saying that starts “when life gives you lemons…?” That quote is so disrespectful. What’s wrong with lemons? Why is that so bad? Maybe we want some lemons every now and then. Maybe you can keep your apples, oranges and bananas!

Lemon is so undeserving of this type of treatment. Think about all of the delicious lemon candy: Lemon Drop Jelly Belly beans, Lemon Meringue Pie Original Gourmet Pops and Lemon Fruit Jelly Slices just to name a few. Does this candy sound like a chore or a joy to eat? We vote JOY!

We’re not sure what we can do to turn around this notion that lemon is not one of the best, most delicious flavors in the world. It’s not feasible for us to give away free Lemonheads, Lemon Skittles or Lemon Starburst in an effort to convince all the doubters and haters out there in the general public as to the tastiness of lemon candy. In their heart of hearts, they already know that lemon candy is a treat.

Instead, what we’ll do is what we have always done...let lemon candy speak for itself. Let its delicious lemon flavor tempt your tongue and its beautiful yellow color seduce you. It is a fact that one cannot live on Grape, Mango and Pineapple candy flavors alone, you’ll need to spice it up to keep your candy fresh and exciting. That’s when Lemon comes in and wows your taste buds. Its tartness and smoothness will yield a pleasure like no other. On that day, you’ll finally give lemon candy what the respect it deserves. No lemonade needed.
