Candy by Color

I frequently have this dream, a dream that I am alone in a room surrounded by hundreds, no thousands, of different types of candy. There are literally mountains of candy: candy in bags, in boxes, on shelves, on racks, candy is everywhere! I become overjoyed seeing all this candy, it is all mine for the taking – but this dream had a twist. A mysterious voice told me that I could have any piece of candy in the room my heart desired, but only after I brought the voice ten Brown Tootsie Pops.

Easy as pie I think; there is candy all over the room: Jelly Belly Beans, chocolates, taffy, candy sticks, bubble gum, gumballs and lollipops. I began to look and I found Red Tootsie Pops, Green Jolly Rancher Pops, Orange Original Gourmet Pops and after what seemed like hours I could only find two Brown Tootsie Pops! As I rummaged from box to bag, shelf to shelf, rack to rack I realized the room of candy was a disorganized maze, candy was everywhere but there was no rhyme or reason to its placement, no easy way to find what I was looking for!

I searched and searched, only to be tricked over and over again. I never found ten Brown Tootsie Pops, only five in total. My candy dream became a nightmare. I woke up in a cold sweat with the dream, or nightmare, still clearly in my mind, it felt so real.

As I rose out of bed to get a cool glass of water to calm my nerves, I thought to myself maybe this wasn’t just a dream, maybe it was a message.
